About Our Designer

For more than thirty years Ann King has traveled and lived around the world studying color, ornamental textiles, tent history, interior design, architecture and traditional handwork in a wide variety of cultures.

In addition to being a color specialist Ann imports garden tents from India, inspired by the Persian Empire, shadow embroideries from Pakistan, mantones from Spain and museum quality lacquer art from Pakistan, all of which alone or in combination, create gorgeous and colorful accents for interiors.

Ann creates color palettes for the interiors of private clients, for businesses and for product development. Her color expertise is strongly influenced by studying world cultures firsthand and from her many years of designing original painted, beaded and quilted textiles for home and wardrobe.

Background and training: Ann holds a certificate in Color Design from Leatrice Eiseman, the leading expert in the field. She also studied interior design privately with Nora Taylor, a founding member of the Northwest Society of Interior Designers, Seattle. Ann is affiliated with NWSID as an Interior Designer member.
